you for your interest in the Widow’s Hope Project of
MMI and the exciting world of widows’ ministry.
This ministry is dedicated to fulfilling the mandate of James
1:27. We have found that as the church fulfills this mandate,
both the church and the widow become blessed and do what pleases
the heart of the Father. We are committed to:
• Finding the Widow - To penetrate this silent community
through the use of personal contacts, referrals, and advocacy
agencies.
• Ministering
to the Widow - We exist to be an active voice for widows and
raise awareness of their needs by being a resource for churches
in ". . .caring for widows."
• Empowering
the Widow - Help them take their rightful place of honor in
the Kingdom of God through hands on ministry opportunities,
workshops, community outreach programs.
If you are a widow,
we want you to know that God loves and cares deeply for you.
Your life is not over. Rather, God desires to reveal Himself
in new and dynamic ways through you if you will allow Him
to lead and guide you in this new season of your life. His
promise to you is this:
"For I know
the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future".
(Jer. 29:11 NIV)
Based
on James 1:27, WHP programs of assistance try to meet these
very needs through: friendship and companionship; financial,
and personal counseling; assistance with utility and medical
bills; transportation for groceries and doctor appointments;
and home maintenance and repairs . Promoting the Spiritual
Growth and Ministry of Widows.
It is our belief
that widows play a crucial role in the life of the church
and society through the ministry of prayer (I Timothy 5).
We further believe that Anna the prophetess, who's life as
a widow was spent in prayer and fasting (Luke 2), serves as
an excellent Biblical role model for any widow who is seeking
to answer God's call of a life devoted to prayer
Our prayer is that
God would be glorified through this web site and the lives
of widows would be transformed! Contact us for more information
on how you can help a needy widow repair their home, rebuild
a house for homeless widows, help a widow with food stuffs
as well as help a widow start a small business.
